Captains Day Golf Carnival | 27-28 March, 2010

Samtel partnered with Indian Air Force once again this year for the annual Captains Day Golf Carnival held over two days – 27th and 28th March 2010.
The event provided us with the opportunity to cement our relationship with the senior officials of the Indian Air Force.

Samtel participated in the Def Expo 2010 in order to showcase its products for Aerospace, Marine, Military and Industrial applications, as well the strength of its partnerships with HAL, Thales, Honeywell and SAAB.
Products on Display included:
- RIGS HUD by SAAB
- MFD 5”x5” and 6”x6”
- Honeywell EFIS40 display for general aviation aircraft
- System Level Test Bench – an Automated Test Equipment used to evaluate the performance of the Multifunction Display (MFD).
- Ruggedized LCD displays - 10.4”, 15.0”, 19.0”, 20.1” and 37” for military, marine and industrial applications. Also on display was the ‘Captain’s Console’ for naval platforms.

Samtel Display Systems exhibited at the Paris Air Show.
Over the last few years, SDS has built up its competency in both domestic and international markets, and has formed key partnerships with leading players in defence avionics arena across the world. Samtel’s booth at the Paris Air Show aimed to demonstrate its competency in building modern day avionic systems by displaying its latest product range in the avionics domain.
Products on Display included:
- FCD66 MKII (Samtel and Thales collaboration for 6"x6" CRT display for Airbus)
- EFIS 40 (Samtel and Honeywell collaboration for 4"x4" colour avionics display)
- TopSight-I (Helmet Mounted Sight and Display by Samtel Thales JV)
- MFD 5"x5" (developed by Samtel-HAL JV, flying on Sukhoi 30 MKIs)
- MFD 6"x8" developed by Samtel Display Systems

Captains Day Golf Carnival | 21-22 Feb, 2009

Samtel was the executive sponsor for Indian Air Force's annual Captains Day Golf Carnival. The Carnival was held over two days – 21st and 22nd February 2009. While Day 1 saw many senior officials of IAF playing Golf over the 9-hole Golf Course, Day 2 had an elite gathering of the Chief of Air Staff, Vice Chief of Air Staff, retired ex-Air Chiefs, and other Air Marshals and Air Vice Marshals playing Golf with Mr. Satish Kaura and his special guests. The Carnival ended with a Gala Dinner on 22nd Feb which hosted 1600 guests of the Indian Air Force.

Samtel Display Systems co-exhibited along with its two joint-venture companies -- Samtel HAL Displays and Samtel Thales Avionics in a 96 sq.m. booth at the exhibition. Products on display were -- 'TopSight - I' Indian Helmet Mounted Sight Display for Indian fighter aircraft, Multifunction Display, Ruggedised LCD, Color Avionics Tube and Automated Test Equipment.

Farnborough Airshow | 14-20 July 2008

Samtel Display Systems participated in the Farnborough International Air Show in 2008. A 30 sq.m. booth was designed and set up with live models of our MFDs, CAT, RLCD, as also a prototype of the Head-up Display (HUD). Many International visitors and members of Indian delegations visited our booth and met the members of the Samtel team there.
